Amazing Exterior Softwash And Exterior Painting Service in Hudson, NY

We came across this job by completing some previous work for this client. We previously softwashed another property he owns and stained his deck earlier this year. So later this year after the homeowner acquired this new property in Hudson,NY he wanted to bring us back to completely restore this barn. He currently owns other barns that are located nearby and wanted to match the other traditional red and white barns.

We came in and started by cleaning up the old rough cut siding. We used our 2 step wood cleaning solutions which is a safe and effective way to clean up these weathered boards without the risk of damage. After the boards were cleaned we had to start sealing the building making it as weather tight as possible.The carpenter bees really did a number on this siding over the years. There was days of work included in this project in just sealing the gaps and holes in the siding and soffit. Finally after the barn was cleaned and sealed properly we did an application of an oil based primer on the entire building. There was also new sliding barn doors being built and installed by another contractor so we had the chance painting them to match. We got to it when the weather was right painting the siding red and all the trim white along with the fascia and soffit boards. As the project was coming together the roof was being replaced along with a new cupola and weathervane. I was luckily able to be on site the day the cupola was being installed and was able to get some red paint on before it was on the roof. Making everything match nicely and watching the project progress was great to see and the pictures don't do it justice.
