Cedar Restoration Project Completed in Austerlitz, NY

We applied our proven two-step wood restoration process to this beautifully built cedar and mahogany screened porch in Austerlitz.

As always, we took our due diligence to protect all surrounding vegetation from harm by the cleaning solutions.

We perform all our wood cleaning with very low pressure (100 psi) to minimize potential furring of the wood fibers. We use an alkaline cleaning solution first to deep clean the wood, followed by a very low-pressure but high-volume rinse. Afterwards, we apply our low pH neutralizer, which is used to brighten the wood while also leaving a neutral pH, so it is ready to accept any stain or seal.

The customer was very pleased with the overall process, and we were able to add some additional wood restoration to her teak outdoor table and the front Ipe deck as well.
